THE PROBLEM
Most arm guards weren't built for your fight.
Three structural failures define standard arm guards.
The elbow is exposed when the arm bends.
Half the forearm is uncovered when the guard is angled wrong.
The hand is forced into a position the sport doesn't use.
Most athletes adjust around these failures. We don't accept them.
ENGINEERED ELBOW COVERAGE
The difference is structural.
Standard arm guards have a gap. The Arm Ultra doesn't.

STANDARD ARM GUARD
Gap exposes joint when arm bends.

ARM ULTRA
Continuous coverage at every angle.
Standard arm guards have a structural gap between the forearm pad and the elbow protector. When the arm bends, the gap opens - the inside of the elbow is exposed at exactly the angle where it absorbs the most impact.
The Arm Ultra eliminates the gap entirely. The forearm padding flows into the elbow protector. No exposure at any angle. The coverage is unbroken through the full range of a guard position.

Extended elbow point
We also engineered an extended elbow point. Standard guards leave the bony point of the elbow exposed at the back - the precise spot that meets the kick when the arm is raised. The Arm Ultra wraps further around the joint. The kick lands on engineered padding, not bone.
PROPRIETARY CONSTRUCTION
Anton Core. Engineered padding from the inside out.
A two-layer system you'll only find on an Anton.

FOUNDATION LAYER
A refined version of standard foam with denser composition - same impact dissipation characteristics, engineered to retain shape under the repetitive load an elite training schedule delivers. It spreads impact across the largest possible surface area.
COMPRESSION CORE
A high-density compression layer beneath the foundation that absorbs the residual force the surface layer disperses. The two layers work as a system: surface spreads, core absorbs. Total padding is significantly thicker than standard guards - not because thicker is better in itself, but because thicker enables the two-layer construction to do its work.
Anton Core is the standard across all Anton protective gear. When Leg Ultra ships, you already know what that means.
ARM WRAP
90% arm wrap.

Additional protection
Standard arm guards cover the outside of the forearm - the elbow-facing side. That's the side that meets the kick when the arm is held in a textbook guard position, palm facing inward.
But arms don't stay in textbook position. When you parry, when you clinch, when you reach to control your opponent's leg, the arm rotates. The inside of the forearm - the thumb-side - becomes the impact surface. Standard guards leave this side exposed. The Arm Ultra wraps 90% of the forearm. The impact lands on Anton Core padding, not on you.
THE COVERAGE DIFFERENCE
STANDARD COVERAGE
Half exposed.

Standard arm guards cover the pinky side of your arm well. That's the guard-position surface. The thumb side is exposed. When a kick lands there, your arm takes the blow. Coverage that works in one position fails in every other.
ENGINEERED COVERAGE
90% arm wrap.

The Arm Ultra wraps 90% of the forearm. Pinky side. Thumb side. Lateral. Continuous. Every position your arm moves through in sparring, the padding is between the impact and you.
When the guard is angled wrong, standard coverage disappears. The Arm Ultra doesn't have that failure mode.
ENGINEERED HAND POSITION
Train the hand that competes.
Standard guards force fingers down. The Arm Ultra holds them flat.
Most training hand guards force the fingers into a closed, downward grip. This builds the wrong motor pattern - the position you train in becomes the position your body defaults to under pressure. It also puts the fingers in the line of impact. When a kick lands on a downward-curled hand, the fingers absorb the force. Jarred fingers. Hyperextended joints. Broken bones.
We're not trying to change competition. Competition is the standard, and the standard works. We're trying to make training mirror competition as closely as possible - while protecting you more, so you can train more.
The Arm Ultra mirrors the exact hand shape used in competition. Significantly more padding than competition allows, because training is where more protection makes sense. Train like you compete. Be protected enough to train more often than you compete.
ENGINEERING DECISION 01
Flat. Like the glove you compete in.
STANDARD HAND GUARD
Fingers forced into a closed grip.

Standard hand guards push your fingers straight down. That's the position you train in for hundreds of sessions. It's not the position you compete in. Every Olympic-level fighter uses a flat hand. It's how you control your opponent's leg. It's how you parry without breaking fingers. Fingers-down training is training you'll have to override the moment competition starts.
ARM ULTRA
Fingers flat. Competition position.

The Arm Ultra positions the hand flat. Wrist neutral. Same as the competition hand guard. Training in the Arm Ultra IS practising the position you'll fight in. Motor pattern transfers. No override required.
Train for the sport you compete in. Not the one the gear was built for.

ENGINEERING DECISION 02
A protector engineered to take the first hit.
Below the hand position, the Arm Ultra has a protruding pad - a defined callous protector that extends further out than the surrounding guard surface. When impact comes from underneath, the callous protector meets it first. The fingers stay back, behind the line of contact. The hand absorbs force where the engineering puts it, not where the kick happens to find it.
BUILT FOR IMPACT
Engineered for what the sport actually demands.

Features standard guards don't have
90%
Arm wrap coverage
10×
Competition hand protection
Every feature on the Arm Ultra addresses a specific failure mode in standard training gear. Continuous elbow coverage with no gap when the arm bends. An extended elbow point over the bony joint. A 90% forearm wrap. A flat, competition-matched hand position. A callous protector engineered to take the first hit.
FIT AND SIZING
Measure once.
Measure the length of your forearm, not its circumference and not your bicep. Bend your arm to 90 degrees with your palm facing toward you, then measure from the wrist bone on the palm side to the inside of the elbow joint. That length determines your size.
The Arm Ultra is available in Small, Medium, and Large. Every order ships as a pair.
Measurement in centimetres. Measure forearm length, not circumference.
